Food has always been more than what’s on the plate — it’s about family, friends, and making memories. David grew up in a home where gathering around a meal was part of the culture, and that love for good food stuck with him.
David has spent the last 19 years serving as a firefighter in Newport News. Station 8 was his home away from home, and you’ll see that number proudly displayed in his logo. Today, when not answering fire calls, he’s answering the call of smoked meats, savory sides, and serving up food that brings people together.
Guided by 1 Corinthians 10:31 — “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” — David brings the same heart for service to his cooking that he brought to the firehouse: faith, hard work, and lots of flavor!
